What will happen to the characters in the next book of the Tripod Trilogy? There will be some fantastic adventures. Will becomes a leader of the young people that are hid out in the White Mountains. He uses his powers of persuasion to convince others that are about to become capped to go to the white mountains with him. Once he gathers more people I believe he will take them out to do research on how to try and defeat the Tripods. Beanpole will start to invent many things useful in helping to defeat the Tripods. I think one of his inventions will be a gun like the one he saw in the train station. He will also try and make something like a Tripod that they can use to disguise themselves so that they can move about in Tripod controlled areas. Henry will make a big difference for the people of the white mountains. He will be the head scavenger. With him they will find lots of things needed to survive and live well while they are trying to get rid of the Tripod threat to humans. I believe that Will, Beanpole, and Henry will find the Tripod city and maybe even free Eloise from them. Each will have his own important part to play in the next novel, but I also think that they will find away to remove or disarm the caps from those already capped.

In this passage Will is taken into a Tripod while trying to escape the red castle.
After Will has snuck out of the castle he goes to the corral and takes a horse to escape. After a while he is then stopped by a Tripod with a green glow to it. His horse becomes very frightened and starts to go up on its hind legs and falls back with Will still underneath. Will is crushed and can't get out from underneath until the horse gets up, but the horse leaves and Will has nowhere to go. The Tripod's metal tentacle sweeps down and grabs Will and then he is pulled into the Tripod's hemisphere. The next day he wakes up and sets off on his journey.
"The bitter thing was all the spirit, all the gallantry, was wasted. For even more than inferiors, they accepted and looked forward to being Capped. It was a part of becoming a knight, or of turning from a girl to lady. Thinking of this, I saw how good things could be meaningless in isolation. What value did courage have, without a free and challenging mind to direct it?" (p. 111)
The people from the Red Castle had a misconception of what freedom really was about. The were tied to the Tripods and were excited about being capped and having freedom. Little did they know that this was not freedom. Will knew this. His idea of freedom was being able to think for himself, say what he wanted and have choices.

This is my reflection on the time I have had in ISKL middle school.
The first thing I will talk about is the first time I saw my locker, I looked at the lock, then at the instructions to open the lock I had, I couldn't understand how to do it, but my first friend, Sanidhya told me how to do it and after that I didn't have any problems opening my locker and it was pretty fun the first few times. I felt like racing someone to see who could open the lock faster, but when I raced someone they beet me :( . but I didn't really mind that much, it was still fun though.
the next thing I'm going to to talk about is the periods and the freedom
my favorite thing of all is the freedom we have in middle school.
the main reason is because we can go anywhere we want in the school, well nearly anywhere, you cant go into the classrooms unless you have to finish off some work, but apart from that you can go anywhere you want. and also, we can go to the cafeteria and get a snack between periods which i think is a good idea, so that when you are in class you wont get distracted when you get hungry, another thing i like that is related to food is that they have lots of different food choices for the children that come from all over the world, so that way they are not stuck with food from one nationality. for example there is tacos sometimes and there is chicken curry sometimes, and there is another place called ko's kitchen sells korean food.
Now I'm going to talk about the periods
i really like the whole idea of the periods because i think it doesn't make the kids bored, it makes them happier because they don't have to be in the same room for the whole day.

This is what I would have written if I were the author of Hatchet. This is for missing chapter HW.
As Brian got on the plane with floats, he stared back at the campsite. he said out loud "you know what?i think i could have lived here my whole life, and it would have been fine, i mean i survived this long, didn't I?" The pilot didn't here him, because he was starting the plane up. Brian just stood there staring at the camp and finally said goodbye to it.
When Brian was on the plane, he was hoping that this pilot wouldn't die either and get stranded again. when the plane landed and he got out, he was a bit shocked to see so many man-made things and see people. As soon as Brian walked into the airport, he could so much noise, he wasn't used to all of this noise. some people were whispering to the people next to them. Brian herd some people saying "is that him?! the boy that went missing more than two months ago?" He was wondering if he was on the news or not. Finally he found his mother, she saw him as well and tears came to both of their eyes, they ran towards each other and hugged, when they got home Brians mother gave him allot of snacks.

courage
I was afraid of roller coasters because I always thought they would fall apart or something when I was riding them, or I would fall out of the seat when I done a loop and I would die or something.
Until a few months ago, I went on a roller coaster in Indonesia in a place called Dufan, it was a bit scary but I didn't die or anything :D and that is how I gained some courage and took on my fear.

what social scientist i want to be
Anthropologist- The scientific study of the origin, the behavior, and the physical, social, and cultural development of humans.
Historian-One who writes or compiles a chronological record of events; a chronicler.
Archaeologist-the scientific study of historic or prehistoric peoples and their cultures by analysis of their artifacts, inscriptions, monuments, and other such remains, esp. those that have been excavated.
Geographer-The study of the earth and its features and of the distribution of life on the earth, including human life and the effects of human activity.
Paleontologist-The study of the earth and its features and of the distribution of life on the earth, including human life and the effects of human activity
The one I’m most interested in is the historian mainly because I like the history of world war 1 and 2,but I don’t know much about world war 1,that means a get to study it more though :D. Although the historian studies the different wars of the past they also study and know about all Royalty and leaders, past politics, and plagues etc. These are the things that have affected how we live today and will have an influence on how we and future generations will live. The past is something we should learn from to make sure we don’t make the same mistakes again. This is one of the reasons why the Historians work is so important.

Blog Post #1
1. Hi my name is Connor, I have been living in Malaysia for two weeks. I am going to be here for one year and a half, well, hopefully. I used to live in Indonesia, I was there for 6 months but had to move. I was born in Australia, Perth. All of my family except my uncle, cousin and niece are Scottish.
My brother is nearly eight-teen year’s old, works as a butcher and is trying to get into the navy, my sister is twenty-seven, is trying to find another job and house.
2. The last movie I saw was the movie “UP, 3-D”it was a mixture of sort of sad and happy.
3. One of my academic goals is to improve on my math’s, because I’m not so good at it yet.
4. My social goal is to fit in well in ISKL, and get along with everyone there.
5. My favorite moment was when my family and I went on the river in boat fishing. The day started with very good weather but in the afternoon it became very windy and the rain fell heavily. Some of the other boats that were being pedaled by the people were blown into the river bank and the people had to be rescued by the boat hire people. We all got soaked on the way back to the camp site. The boat took even longer to get back as the head wind was strong. The reason it was my favorite moment was because it was so exciting.
6. a) Friendly
b) Can be out - Outgoing
c) Sensitive
d) Adventurous
e) Fun
